Surf Lessons
In our surf lessons you will learn how to stand up on the board keeping your balance while riding the wave to the shore. We teach beginner lessons in waist deep white water, don’t worry, you don’t need to know how to swim, each student will always be accompanied by a certified instructor at all times during the lesson. The goal of the lesson is that you end up riding waves by yourself in a safe way, so that if in the future you would like to rent the board alone, you will already know how to handle it in the best possible safe way.
In our more advanced surf lessons we will take you to the line up and with the help of photo correction and videos we will take your surfing to the next level. Book with us and you won’t regret it.
Beginners:
In this lesson you will learn the basic elements of surfing such as the technique to stand up, when is the right time to do it, techniques to maintain balance on the board, arm position and very important all the safety rules to keep you safe in the water.
For this lesson you don’t need to know how to swim, you will always be next to an instructor, as deep as possible with the water up to your waist taking the white waves that have already broken and can be done by children from 5 years old to seniors.
Intermediates:
In this lesson you will go to the line up to take waves to the right or left depending on the shape of the wave, always accompanied by an instructor, you will also learn to read the sea to better find the peak of the wave and the paddling channel.
For this lesson it is necessary to know how to swim.
Advanced:
In this lesson you will learn how to generate speed in different parts of the wave, you will also learn how to do basic maneuvers such as floaters or cutbacks depending on the shape of the wave. This lesson will take place in larger waves of 3 to 5 feet and can be done at Hermosa Beach or Jaco depending on where the best wave quality is on the day of the lesson.
