Jacó

Jacó is one of the most famous surfing beaches not only in Costa Rica but also worldwide because in this 7 kilometers long beach you can find waves for all surfing levels. Due to its geographical position to the south of the beach the waves are calm and soft with no currents, while to the north the waves will increase in size due to its exposure to the open ocean and the sea bottom will become more rocky due to its proximity to river mouths.

So you can start your surfing on the south side and as your surfing level increases you can gradually move north to discover longer and stronger waves.
